Farmyard Zoo

Today we visited the Hawke's Bay Farmyard Zoo with Room 1, 7 and 3. It was an awesome day to celebrate the end of the year with our Junior Syndicate friends. It was great to see children from all the different year levels interacting and having fun together.

The children were very caring and enjoyed feeding the animals. I think the highlight for many will be feeding the lambs.

As a treat we also got to see Cliff shear the llamas' and a sheep. Cliff told us that North Island sheep wool is usually used for making carpets and the world's fasted shearer can shear one sheep in 45 seconds. The children loved the feeling of the two types of wool. They noted how one was really soft and one was really oily.

Thank you to all the parents who accompanied us on our trip today. Without your support trips like this can't happen. Your help is appreciated.
